ABOUT THE PROJECT

The goal of this project was to move all of our brand-level microsites onto our new Ektron CMS platform. We wanted to make the user experience better by keeping the user on fairmont.com rather than taking them to an external site. It was also going to be easier to manage the content if it was built in our CMS platform.

My role in this project was working with our Heritage Place team to understand what their requirements were in terms of creating a new Heritage Place section on Fairmont.com. Together with the Heritage Place team we came up with a set of requirements and from there I worked with technology to create the new custom templates that would be added to the CMS. Once these templates were deployed, I then created the new Heritage Place site within Fairmont.com and we redirected and shut down heritageplace.com.
